This one was made using the back of an early French Postcard. This background was made to be used on a Blogger blog using the Minima template for a 3 column blog.Follow these instructions to use this background on your blog:
1)Make sure you are logged in and then click "Customize" at the top of your blog.
2)Click on "Add A Gadget"
3)Scroll down the box and click on "Html/Javascript"
4)In the "Content Box" cut and paste the Html code posted below.
5)Click "Save" and you are done!
<style type="text/css">body {background-image: url("http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq185/thebackgroundfairy/backpost3collaur-2.jpg"); background-position: center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed; }</style><div id="tag" style="position:absolute; left:10px; top:30px; z-index:50;width:172px; height:51px;"><a href="http://www.backgroundfairy.com" target="_blank"><img

Hi Karen,
ReplyDeleteThese are all so pretty.
Are they only for blog backgrounds, or can they be used for other things?
Thanks,
Rosemary

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like them! Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Rosemary,
Oh my, you've just given me an awesome new idea! I'm going to keep it under wraps for a couple of days, but will share with everyone then. Yes, you can use them for whatever you want, you can print them up and cut them out or whatever! I know you'll think of something amazing to do with them.
Hi Xashee,
Gosh, what a sweet comment! Thanks so much for visiting my new blog.
Hi Deb,
I'm thrilled that you like them!! I hope you can find one that you can use for your blog, I will be adding more each day so stop back to see what's new.
Karen
Dear Karen,
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I can't find Minima w/ 3 columns.
Where can I find them.
Million thanks for sharing. So much appreciated. So gorgeous, indeed!
Hugs to you,
//chie
Hi Chie,
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid blogger doesn't make a 3 column template, you have to create it yourself. You don't need 3 columns in order to use my french postcard background, as I have the standard size background available in this same color on my blog as well. Just click on the "Frenchy" category and you should be able to find it. If you would like to try your hand at making your own 3 column template you can find instructions at http://tips-for-new-bloggers.blogspot.com/2007/02/three-columns-blogger-template.html
Good luck!
Karen
Loved this background, and have it on my blog:
ReplyDeletewww.gaveoghobby.blogspot.com
It's in norwegian :=)
Karen, I popped over to your site to see the new french 3-column and I noticed that when it was loaded on my laptop, I don't see the french-writing sidebar borders, just the decorative edging of the border shows? Does that make sense? Your 3 columns of blog are there, but not all of the design you featured in the template.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff, I forwarded a link to one of them I thought my sister would love! ;)
Hey, your backgrounds are great! ^^
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteThese are great and I'd love to add them to my blog on WordPress...do you know how I can incorporate them on that site? I can't seem to customize it with the Java script provided.
Thanks!
Caroline
