Free Blog Background - Pink Moss Roses on Blue

This is a pretty and cheerful rose lay out for you. For this one I have used an antique image of a pink Moss Rose laid out on a soft turquoise blue. This one has a nice cottage style feel to it. This free background was made to be used on a Blogger blog using the Minima template for the standard number of columns.

Follow these instructions to easily add this background to your blog:
1)Make sure you are logged in and then click "Customize" at the top of your blog.
2)Click on "Add A Gadget"
3)Scroll down the box and click on "Html/Javascript"
4)In the "Content Box" cut and paste the Html code posted below.
5)Click "Save" and you are done!

<style type="text/css">body {background-image: url("http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq185/thebackgroundfairy/backroses.jpg"); background-position: center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed; }</style><div id="tag" style="position:absolute; left:10px; top:30px; z-index:50;width:172px; height:51px;"><a href="http://www.backgroundfairy.com" target="_blank"><img

  1. I have already switched my background to one of yours, and now I want to try another. I can not seem to be able to upload a new background. I am following the same directions, is there something I have to do to delete the first one? I would like to try a few more before I make up my mind which one I want to use.
    Thank you

  4. Hi Denise,
Yes, you can easily change the backgrounds out. Just delete the little block of code that you added with my background. Once it's deleted, go back in and add another one.

    Hi Lynne,
    I'm glad you like it!

    Hi Nilla,
I was just telling my girlfriend (a fellow antique dealer) to be on the look out for antique cake images! I don't have much right now to work with, as far as images go, but if I get something in I'll "whip" a background up. ;)

  5. Dear Karen, thank you much for your 'French Postcard' background, which I just installed. I've been wanting a soft, old fashioned page background color. And this gives it, to me.

I'm not very techy, so the different types of template stuff, confuse me. I like an uncluttered look to my blog, so I use only 1 sidebar. Which I guess would be called a 2 column kind.

Experimenting, I find that only the background for 3 columns, seems to give the look I desire. When I use the 2 column ones {though lovely} they make my writing hard to read.

All the above, simply showing how un-techy I am!!! ,-)

Again thank you. You allow me to have my beloved "all-over-rather-pink" look, on my blog. With gentle softness too, instead of stark white background.

I say Thank You {with a link to you}, at the top of my one Sidebar, of course.

  7. Hi Aunt Amelia,
I'm glad you found a background that you like. The reason the backgrounds aren't fitting correctly on your blog is because you are using the blogger template "Minima Stretch" you can easily switch to the standard/basic version of "Minima" and then all of the backgrounds will fit perfectly. Also, the background that you are using now will fit much better as well. In addition, my background fairy tag will display properly too, which is actually one of my only requirements for using my backgrounds for free.
    Hope this helps!

  9. Thank you Karen! I will do as you said!!!

I wondered why your little Background Fairy link did NOT show up, on MY blog.

    Now I know.

Oh I am so happy that I told you how un-techy I am. And you replied, with help. Thank you again.

  10. -sigh- I re-installed your 'French Postcard'... and still no little tag!!! -sighhhhhhhhhhhh-

I don't know what else to do.

Doesn't your little Background Fairy tag automatically go up there, on the top left of one's blog page? When one of your backgrounds is installed?

Am I supposed to PUT it up there, myself? If so, how? Please. How?

  11. Hi Aunt Amelia,
Your blog looks so lovely now that the background is installed with the correct template, great job! As far as the little tag goes, it looks like you cut a few characters off of the code when you installed this. All you need to do is go back and cut and paste the code again, just make sure you highlight all of the code so that it all copies over. In the meantime, don't panic I know your trying, I promise I won't send the fairy police after you!! Let me know if you need anymore help.

  12. No Faerie Police coming! ,-) I am relieved! :-))))

I have noticed that some of the characters, at the end of lines, seem missing. In your code, as it shows up {and as it copies}, when I see it on my computer. I wondered, but when the background installed, I thought it meant nothing.

But it does mean something! And that's why your tag will not, not, not show up!

Since the end characters don't show, I don't know what they should be?

I'd have taken all this about my problems, backchannel... But I can never make the email addy click-able links work, on any blogs. :-(((((( But you could send me a 'Help Bulletin' ,-) at la dot attico at gmail dot com and we would thus stop cluttering up your comments, with my fumbelings. ,-)

  15. Just beautiful...thanks so much. I emailed you with a question as I didn't realize comments were at the bottom of the page. I love my background but can you tell me how to move your "ad" a bit higher so that is does not block part of my photograph? Thanks so much for any help you can give me. What a beautiful service you provide! :)

  19. Thank you for the wonderful background! It makes very happy to enter my blog and to be met by your wonderful background with roses which is my favorite flower.

I think I will try the blue-and white rose background. You have so many nice backgrounds that it is not easy to decide which one to use.

    Thank you

  25. What a talented and special angel you are! Thank you so much for sharing all the beautiful images. Every time I think I have found my favorite I see another and then I can't decide. Once I figure out what to say in a blog I am going to force myself to pick a favorite.
Again, thank you so very much for all the work you do to share with others. I hope you know how appreciated you are!

  26. Hi, I just found your blog and am so glad I did. :)

My question is that since so many of us are using Minima Stretch for our larger photos, will you be adding those later?
    Thanks, bj

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hi BJ,
I'm glad you like my backgrounds! I don't have any plans for adding "Stretch Minima" backgrounds at this time. I think it would make it too confusing for a lot of my readers, I get lots of emails and comments from people that are not using the correct template. I've spent a lot of time harping about using "Minima", if I suddenly started posting some for "Stretch" it would cause a lot of confusion I think. I hope that makes sense!

i added your turquoise and rosebud background which may be too much, but I LOVE IT!!!
and i shall be happy to keep it for a realllllly long time.
    one little question...
the stuff in my left column, about me and other text is in colors that melt into your backgrounds. is there any way to adjust that? i will suffer with anything to keep my new background.
thank you, thank you, and thank you.
