Medieval Architectural Style Background

This blog lay out was made using a very old architectural print. I think it has a great Medieval style look to it! This free background was made to be used on a Blogger blog using the Minima template for the standard number of columns.

Follow these instructions to easily add this background to your blog:
1)Make sure you are logged in and then click "Customize" at the top of your blog.
2)Click on "Add A Gadget"
3)Scroll down the box and click on "Html/Javascript"
4)In the "Content Box" cut and paste the Html code posted below.
5)Click "Save" and you are done!

<style type="text/css">body {background-image: url(""); background-position: center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed; }</style><div id="tag" style="position:absolute; left:10px; top:30px; z-index:50;width:172px; height:51px;"><a href="" target="_blank"><img

  3. Hi Xashee,
It is quite a subtle one isn't it, sometimes it's nice to have a more serene background. I'm glad you like it.

    Hi Aunt Amelia,
I took a look at your blog again, it's just the same thing as before. Anytime you don't see my little tag it's because you did not copy all of the code over to your blog. If you leave out even one letter of the code, the background and/or tag will not display correctly. It's kind of like giving someone directions to your home, but not telling them your house number. Without that one piece of information your guest can not find you. You just need to go back and copy ALL of it to your blog so, that the internet can find where this information is stored, and then it will be displayed correctly. Then each time you change your background, you will need to do this again. I hope this makes sense!

  4. Hi Karen! Thank you for offering your free backgrounds. I just swiped your "Pink Moss Roses on Blue". It is beautiful! I think it really fits my blog.

  5. Hi Koleen,
Swipe away, that's what they're there for! I took a peek at your blog, the Moss Roses look wonderful there!!

  6. I wonder if there is some way that I could use this background but have the center black. I was using minima black before.

  7. Hi Jill,
I'm afraid not. You could use it with the Minima Dark but it wouldn't really help since the background totally covers over all of the black.

  8. Thank you very much! I really like this background for my blog, it goes well with my photos!
    Have a great weekend!

  9. Hi Ann-Christine,

  10. Wunderschöner background!
    Danke und ganz liebe Grüße

  11. Am super pleased with my background. It should be known - I am a very picky background user! I was not even sure 'medieval architectual' (for heaven sakes) -- would be my thing.
But it sure is! Love it - and imagine I will for sometime.

    Thanks for sharing.
