Free Blog Background - Brown and Aqua Damask

Here's the newest background for you to use on your blogs! This one is a golden brown damask with distressed aqua patches, it has sort of a bohemian feel to it. I hope you like it!

This free background was made to be used on a Blogger blog using the Minima template for the standard number of columns.

Follow these instructions to easily add this background to your blog:

1)Make sure you are logged in and then click "Customize" at the top of your blog.
2)Click on "Add A Gadget"
3)Scroll down the box and click on "Html/Javascript"
4)In the "Content Box" cut and paste the Html code posted below.
5)Click "Save" and you are done!

<style type="text/css">body {background-image: url("http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq185/thebackgroundfairy/backdamaskbrown2-1.jpg"); background-position: center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed; }</style><div id="tag" style="position:absolute; left:10px; top:30px; z-index:50;width:172px; height:51px;"><a href="http://www.backgroundfairy.com" target="_blank"><img

  3. I love this but when I try to add it to my blog..It does fine on the sides of my blog..The only thing is your name is right on the center of my blog posts..What am I doing wrong is there a way to move your name over to the side where the back ground is? Sorry I am trying .
    Thanks. Katelen

  4. I love this background, okay I like all of them. My problem is the little scallops or frames you put into the background. They don't fit my blog and it covers up the words and pictures. I have been using one of your wider, 3 column backgrounds, the lavender one. Most would fit without these frames, do you think you could do more of those 3 column without the frames. It's okay I still love the one I use.

  5. Hi Debsea,
    I'm glad you like it!

    Hi Nancy,
I will try to make some more 3 columns in the near future.

    Hi Katelen,
You just need to switch to the standard "MINIMA" blogger template and everything will fit just right!

    Hi Passions & Soapboxes,
Wow, I didn't realize that you could even use these on Wordpress! It sounds like for Wordpress blogs only the borderless 3 columns will fit. I will try to make some more 3 columns in the near future.

  25. ME,
I will need your blog address if you would like me to look at the problem. Keep in mind this background was made for Bloggers older template called "Minima", if you have a new blog, you will want to select one of the templates made for "Bloggers New Template Designer". You can find them listed on my right sidebar!

  26. Hi Karen,
I discovered this blog tonight and have been playing with it, which is a first for me.
My problem is that I can't get the scrolls centred.
I saved this as a jpeg then added it to word to put the title in and then copied it back to paint, cropped it and saved it as a jpeg.
Could you please look at it for me at carolynlmcgrath.blogspot.com

    Thanks so much
    Carolyn

  27. This is beautiful, thanks so much for sharing! I used it on my blog and gave a shout out to you on it to say thank you - http://nicoleqmullen.wordpress.com/2012/01/06/new-design/
I use wordpress though so I had to change the image a bit so that it would work as I cant find any wordpress theme that allows me to just use your beautiful backgrounds as are! Thanks so much again for sharing them with us though, I really truly appreciate it!
