New Free Background - Damask with Pink Birds

Things are finally slowing down a bit around here and I managed to get this background finished up for all of you to use. This one is a pretty soft turquoise and pink damask background, embellished with dark pink scrolls and birds. I hope you like it!

This free background was made to be used on a Blogger blog using the Minima template for the standard number of columns.

Follow these instructions to easily add this background to your blog:

1)Make sure you are logged in and then click "Customize" at the top of your blog.
2)Click on "Add A Gadget"
3)Scroll down the box and click on "Html/Javascript"
4)In the "Content Box" cut and paste the Html code posted below.
5)Click "Save" and you are done!

<style type="text/css">body {background-image: url("http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq185/thebackgroundfairy/1aabackbirdy3.jpg"); background-position: center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed; }</style><div id="tag" style="position:absolute; left:10px; top:30px; z-index:50;width:172px; height:51px;"><a href="http://www.backgroundfairy.com" target="_blank"><img

  1. So many beatuful backgrounds you make! Love your page! I have been looking all over for backgrounds with a romantick yet modern look, so many other pages make the background so owerwelming and desturbing for the writer or should I say the reader :) And today I found yours by chanse, visiting a friend with a background from you. Thank you very much!! Good wishes for you and lots of good karma from me

  2. Hi Vanilla Lavender,
    Thanks so much!

    Hello Coralie,
    I'm glad you like it!

    Hi Ingridmarie,
I agree, I don't like backgrounds that are too fussy or busy either, I think they should enhance a blog and not take away from it. Thanks for the good wishes and karma!

  8. I'm so glad so many of you are using this one! The sample photo of it here isn't quite right, it looks better when actually placed on a blog, the birds are bigger. Thanks to all of you for letting me know this one worked for you!

  14. I see a lot of the backgrounds are for 3 column.
How do i know what i have?
Thought it was minima but when i try those backgrounds they are too big and do not show your wonderful work.

    thanks

  15. Hi Barbara Jean,
You would know if you had a 3 column blog, as you would have had to go in an alter the HTML in order to get a third column, or pay someone to do it for you. My blog here is a 3 column blog, when you look at it you will see one center column, and 2 smaller sidebar columns on either side. Yours probably just has one center column, with a second thinner column next to it.
I actually have more standard size backgrounds here for you to choose from, than 3 columns. I often get complaints that I don't have enough 3 column backgrounds! But I like making the standard size ones better, because as you said, you see more of the design.
    I hope this helps!
