Super Simple Tip #1 - Add a Title to your Header with Blogger's Tools

Update: Click HERE to watch a new video tutorial on adding a custom title to your header & How to CENTER your header too!

Recently, a number of people have been asking me how they can add a title to the blog headers that I provide here. So I have decided to start a series of Super Easy Tips to help you beautify your blog!! The Tutorial for the first tip "Add a Title to Your Header with Blogger's tools" is below. You can enlarge any of the photos by clicking on them.

Step 1:
Begin by going into your dashboard and click on "Edit" in the "Header box". (You can see it above in the pink circle.) This will cause a box to pop up.

Step 2: Once inside of the pop up box. Type in your blog title (you can also type in a blog description, although it can look cluttered, so I'm leaving it out here.). Next, select the option for "Behind Title and Description" and open up your image. Then click save.

Step 3:
Scroll down inside of the box, in the upper left hand corner, and select "Blog Title Font". Next to the right of that, select which type of font you want. (There are not many choices here unfortunately, only 6 to choose from. ) Optional, you can also select "Bold" or "Italic" if desired.

Step 4:
Adjust the size of your font. Click on "Smaller" to make it smaller or "Larger" to make it bigger. The more you click the more the size will change, you can make it super tiny or super large. It's up to you!

Step 4:
You can also change the color if you like. Just go back into the scroll box and scroll up to where it says "Blog Title Color" and select it. The palette box will pop up. Click on any color you like to change the color. Or if you know the number of the color you could type it in. Once you have finished adjusting your blog, don't forget to click on "Save Changes" in the orange box, and then you can view your finished changes!

This is not a perfect method, as you are very limited as far as type placement and font choice. But it is the easiest way and does not involve any additional software, since the tool is build right into blogger already. In a future tutorial I will go over adding a custom title to your header using an editing program. I hope you find this tutorial helpful!!
